Who we are

Honest dog tech reviews.
No fluff. No sponsors.

DoGadgets exists because most pet tech content is written by people who were paid to say nice things. We buy every product at retail, use it with our own dogs, and tell you exactly what we found โ€” good or bad.

Our editorial mission

The dog gadget market has exploded. Smart collars, automatic feeders, pet cameras, GPS trackers โ€” there are hundreds of products competing for your attention, and most review sites are either affiliate-link farms or repackaged press releases.

We do it differently. Every product you see reviewed on DoGadgets was purchased by us, tested by us, and rated by us โ€” with no input from brands. We earn a small commission through affiliate links when you buy through our site, which is how we keep the lights on, but that commission never influences our ratings or recommendations. A bad product gets a bad score, regardless of who makes it.

Our goal is simple: save you money and frustration by telling you which dog gadgets are actually worth buying.

How we review

Our testing process

01

We buy it ourselves

No free review units. No PR packages. Every product on DoGadgets was purchased at retail price, just like you would.

02

We use it for at least two weeks

We don't publish after a single afternoon. Products are used daily โ€” walks, meals, overnight โ€” so we catch issues that wouldn't appear in a five-minute demo.

03

We test against alternatives

Where possible we compare head-to-head with competing products at similar price points. Our ratings are relative, not absolute.

04

We update when things change

If a company pushes a firmware update that breaks a product โ€” or fixes it โ€” we revise the review. Publication dates are listed so you know when we last checked.

The people behind it

Sarah Chen

Editor & Founder

Sarah founded DoGadgets in 2022 after spending too much money on dog gadgets that didn't live up to their hype. She has two rescue greyhounds and a deep distrust of influencer marketing.
